What happens at the launch assembly?

Our free 30-minute assembly is the perfect introduction to the programme. Led by one of our professional musicians, pupils enjoy live performances, meet the instruments and even help create a band on stage. It's a fun and inspiring way to show children how accessible and exciting making music can be.

Do schools need to provide instruments?

No. We provide all instruments and equipment needed for every session. Schools simply provide a suitable space for lessons to take place.

How do the weekly band sessions work?

Sessions take place during the school day and last 30 minutes. Children are grouped by age and learn together in bands of up to eight members, ensuring everyone receives plenty of support and encouragement.

Do children need any musical experience?

Not at all. Our programme is designed for complete beginners as well as children who may already have some musical experience. Everyone is welcome.

Who teaches the sessions?

All sessions are delivered by experienced, DBS-checked band leaders who are passionate about helping children grow in confidence through music. Co-founder James alone has over 10 years of experience teaching music.

What instruments can children play?

Children can choose from a range of band instruments, including guitar, keyboard, drums and vocals.

What are the benefits for children?

What happens if a band leader is unwell?

We always do our best to provide a suitable replacement wherever possible, ensuring continuity for schools and pupils.

Is there any cost to the school?

No. Our programmes are funded through parent subscriptions, meaning schools can offer an exciting musical opportunity without impacting their budget.

How do parents sign up?

After the assembly, we'll provide information for parents and carers explaining the programme and how to register their interest. We handle the administration, making the process simple for schools.

Which year groups can take part?

Our band programme is designed for primary-aged children and can be tailored to suit the needs of individual schools.
